ABOUT VILLAS

The Amala is a cute and intimate retreat located in the heart of Seminyak – Bali’s most exciting and exclusive address, a heady mix of life and leisure - 15 minutes from Ngurah Rai International Airport.

Amala guests enjoy the best of both worlds – intimate and luxurious calm within the walls of the resort and the vibrancy of shopping, cafes, nightlife and beaches a short walk away.

And when it’s time to head for home, where better to retreat to than the cool quiet of The Amala, with its soothing soundtrack of birdsong and running water.

The Amala has been designed with great attention to detail, all designed to envelop its guests from the minute they arrive. Our enthusiastic and positive team of butlers will take care of every need making their stay simply perfect.

Staying true to the resort’s philosophy of purity and serenity, the designers have carefully cared for every inch of the property; using exclusive fabrics by "Jim Thompson" throughout the resort, duvets made of organic wool/silk fiber or simply focusing on the elements of air, water and earth.

The accents are unmistakably Asian and influenced heavily by Zen Buddhism. There are minimalist Japanese-style villas, an abundance of water, warm Balinese woods and serene structures, and stands of mature bamboo reminiscent of the peaceful Taiwanese countryside.

To emphasise The Amala’s belief in health through harmony, the resort has introduced a number of environmentally sustainable elements including "Colloidal Silver" mineral water filtration system in the main swimming pool, solar panels for electricity generation, recycling systems for plant watering, and the use of local natural materials such as Bandung marble.

Bamboo Restaurant
Al fresco and intimate restaurant located by the main pool side open for all-day dining. The Amala's creative cuisine perfectly complements its philosophy of achieving health through harmony. We use organic products and raw foods wherever possible to help guests detox and replenish vital vitamins and minerals, and while alcohol is available it is not openly advertised and instead is included on a separate menu.

The Amala has taken the lead from its sister property, THE BALÉ, specialising in a wide variety of nutritious and delicious meals from Indonesia, S E Asia and the West.

Diners are given details of ingredients and the estimated amounts of calories, proteins, cholesterol and other elements, so they can eat and drink to suit their particular body type and to maximise the health benefits they seek. Chef Brandon's non-alcoholic menu is full of healthy juices and mocktails, including the option of tailor-making your very own concoction
